If you are like
me, this is the most boring time of the year. Like most Bear fans,
I breathe Bears' football all year long. I am an active poster on
the
chicagobears.com
message board, my screen name is bjw75. It's interesting, and
sometimes amusing, to see all of the suggestions for free agent pick ups
and different draft strategies of the Bear fans.
So, I sat down and tried to think of what I could do to help
myself and my fellow Bear fans pass the time until the draft, and up
until the 2003 season starts. Basically, the point of BearsGM is
to give all Bear fans a chance to play the Owner/GM.
To become a member, go to the
Bears
Knowledge Test. You must get at least 80% of the questions
correct. The questions will not be difficult. I am doing
this to weed out opposing teams' fans that may come in here just to
throw things off. If I determine that you are indeed a Bear fan, I
will then email you a password to use that will allow you into the
BearsGM Front Office. That is where the fun begins.
Right now, you can vote for who you want as the new Head Coach.
When free agency starts, you will be able
to sign free agent Bears, cut current Bears and sign other league free
agents. Then, you get to enter your draft selections.
The BearsGM Roster
will be updated
every other week with the latest results. Each member will be able
to enter their selections in once per month, because things will change
as the real Bears add free agents, miss free agents and cut
players. Let's have some fun!
